Château Bouscassé - Vieilles Vignes 2000

Château Bouscassé is located in Maumusson-Lagnian, in the Madiran appellation in the southwest. Alain Brumontselected the best terroirs in the town in 1980, and produced four cuvées: Bouscassé, Vieilles Vignes, Menhir and Argile Rouge.

The Bouscassé terroir is made up of a collection of fine variegated yellow and white clay plots resting on cracked limestone.

Château Bouscassé Vieilles Vignes is made from Tannat, the age of the vines of which varies between 50 and 100 years. Maceration lasts 3 to 6 weeks. Malolactic fermentation takes place in new barrels. The wine is aged on lees in new barrels for 14 to 16 months.

Grape variety: 100% Tannat
